SMS use cases in the automotive industry

First, regarding vehicle inspection and maintenance information, we were given an example of an auto repair shop that overseas data had previously only sent information postcards and made phone calls, but now also started sending information via SMS.
Nippon Car-Net : “Let’s compare what happens when SMS is introduced to the number of car inspections brought in per month. Previously! this factory only sent information by postcard and telephone! but when they added SMS! the number of car inspections increased by 5 in a single month! which is about 60 per year. The cost of achieving this increase of 5 in a single month was about 1,000 yen. This is an proactive adaptation to algorithm changes example of how they were able to inform customers about car inspections at a very low cost, and also improved the rate of inspections.”
